Becky,

If you have CD burner software like EZ CD Creator or Nero you can write
files to a CD anytime you like as long as you don't "close it out" for you
computer. In this mode you can only use the CD Disk on your computer's CD
unit. When you have completed the "Album" of photos then you can choose
"Close it out" so any computer with a CD unit can read the CD disk. When
you close it out the disk becomes unwritable. Also when you do this there
is no need to buy expensive rewritable disks. Ordinary CD disks work fine.

PS. What you write to a CD disk can only be written sequentially. If you
want to erase or relocate files on the CD you will need to buy CD-RW disks
(rewritables).

John
