In addition to the comments made so far. My Zoom 341 will not respond
correctly unless it is programmed as such in the computer. It will work OK
as a 28.8 modem but you will not have control of this function till you
call it by its specific name with its specific software. I have seen other
modems this way too. Then after that the settings work and the modem is
silent.
