The spike is not a "universal" OFFICE feature/tool.
It only works within WORD 97 and 2000.
CTRL +F3 adds (copies) to the spike and
CTRL+ SHIFT + F3 inserts (pastes) the spikes contents.
After I get WP Office 2000 reinstalled (still recovering from the
great crash of double-oh <g>) I'll see if it has a similar
option.
