I've found that if you close one IE Window using Ctrl-Alt-Delete it closes them all and shuts down IE completely. Maybe
it's just something that my system does. I use it also with Outlook Express when people send what they think are those
cute little messages that you have to click popup boxes about 30 times to see the whole message,before you can delete
it. Here again, using C-A-D doesn't just shut done that one e-mail, it closes OE completely.
May not work for everyone while using IE but it's worth a try.

The Task Manager only allows you to shut down one process at a time.
Then you must CTRL+ALT+DEL again.
How are you able to halt the multiple window openings?
