Ryo,
Switching back to a modem connection won't affect your browsers, and
will require minimal changes to your e-mail. Basically, you re-install
the
modem and then configure your system according to the ISP's information
they sent to you. You will create a dial-up icon to access them, and
you
need to change your POP & SMTP settings for your e-mail program. That's
pretty much it.
Best of luck!

One more question. I am assuming that I must cancel my @home account
and disable the cable modem before I install the 56k modem and its
software. Am I correct? It would seem that if I had both cable modem
and 56k modem in the same system, I would be asking for troubles.
Thanks.
