I'm about to backup all the data on my computer and install an
additional HD. I intend to make the new drive, the primary drive with
logical drive C: as the active position and do a clean install of Win 95
on it. In this regard, I have two questions: 1) is there any way that
I can get the clean install of Win 95 to recognize programs that I put
on the disk from my backup tape, and 2) how can I set up the new system
so that I can select either Win 95 or Win 3.1 as the active operating
system at bootup?

There must be fifty major software programs currently installed on this
system. I've got boxes and boxes of installation floppies and CDROM
installation disks. If there is any way I can use Win 95 and also avoid
digging through all my software installation disks and reinstalling all
that software, I would sure appreciate knowing about it. It would be
much, much easier and simpler to just put the software on the new hard
disk from the backup tape rather than the original installation
floppies.

The total hard drive space after installation of the new hard drive will
be almost 7 Gigs. I want to be able to install both Win 95 and Win 3.1
and then select which operating system I want to run at bootup.
