Thanks to those who offered suggestions:-

"You can change the "Read" size (Tools/Options/Read/Fonts)"
and
"Do like Hugh said, only go one step further, also go to
the Compose Tab. There you can also set type, size."

These made changes to the size of the text on the screen.
I then tested the changes on a Deskjet 340 - none of the
changes made any different to the print output size which
was an acceptable 10 and 12 points.

The problem was with the printed result from a Canon i550,
which printed in 6points. I can't check the Cannon as it
belongs to a friend.

The options you all suggest imply it is DISPLAY size that
changes. No mention of print size.

My tests with a Deskjet 340 showed no difference in print
size, no matter the display size. Is it likely the Canon
i550 will react differently?

Regards

Tony
