I don't know who originally posted because the original header was
stripped out at some point....... (I just got back from vacation so I
missed the beginning of this.)

Tell the sister to click TOOLS -- OPTIONS -- GENERAL
and turn off (unclick) the R1C1 reference style checkbox.
It's the top left box on that tab.
