I have not made use of the rollback feature as yet, but these folder do
contain your rollback information. To control how often and if the rollback
feature is activated, you need to change the settings in Control
Panel/System and select the System Restore tab. You can turn it off
altogether here.

I am running Windows XP and in my C:/WINDOWS folder have accumulated many
sub folders with names similar to $NtUninstallQ282010$/. Are these something
to do with "Windows Restore" or some other program?

More importantly, how can I stop these accumulating such large (in Mb
terms) files? If they are tied up with "Restore", how do I limit Restore to
a certain time frame - like delete accumulated data after 14 days?
