Diana,

I haven't fiddled with Printmaster for a quite a while, but in the "olden"
days it was a greeting card program not a photo editor.  Have you tried
using the software that was bundled with the scanner?

Personally I love my HP printer, it is my third generation of HPs and is a
good "all round" printer.  But if you plan to do mostly photo work, you
should consider a high end Canon printer, they have much better photo inks.
