Hi Kathleen

Despite what Microsoft says, I used a lot of the Kernal
Toys and most of the Power Toys when I was running Win98.
I never had any problems at all.

As for Tweakui, I never had any trouble with it in Win95,
Win98, Win98SE, WinNT4, or (now) Win2000. In my opinion,
everything in Windows causes *someone* trouble. That's the
way it is. If you won't try a program because someone had
trouble with it, you are going to miss a lot of neat stuff.
Didn't Yuki say that she thought her problems started with
Internet Explorer 5.01? Maybe it wasn't Tweakui at all.

The Tweakui for Win98 is on your Win98 CDROM.

There is a great freeware Tweakui-like tool called X-Setup.
It gets put in Control Panel just like Tweakui. (I use both.)
This is a 3 MB download. You can read about the program at
<http://www.xteq.com/products/xset/index.html> or download
it from <http://www.xteq.com/downloads/xset.html>,
<http://www.tc2.com.fr/xteq/xq-xsetup.zip>, or
<http://www.3dfxfiles.com/ftp/xteq/xq-xsetup.zip>.

X-Setup is more advanced than Tweakui (contains more tweaks)
but is a bit more difficult to work with.

Regards,
Bill
