First, I don't (and never had) Adobe on this machine.

When/if you have that, there is a setting somewhere that says
something like *open PDFs in the browser, or open in a
separate instance of Adobe Reader*.
(You would pick the later.)

I guess<??> FoxIT might have about the same sort of settings...
(But I don't use that as a plug-in for FireFox or MSIE...)

This is something I set up long ago and totally forgot about.
It "just works" for me... ;-)

>What if it is not downloadable?
It is "always" downloadable for me ;-)
My download manager intercepts the call for the PDF extension
and triggers the D/L... (It can be set for any extensions.)
In rare cases where that does not happen, I also have the
Download manager set to watch the clipboard and D/L ANY
link it sees there...
The key then is finding the actual link...
Unless it is an active server page, that is generally not too hard...

D/L manager is GetRight, (not free..)

>HOW do you set IE6 to NOT use a PDF and to offer
download instead, Rick? What if it is not downloadable?
(does that ever happen?)
