Dave,
The option to create a Password Reset Disk is only available with Windows
XP. I assumed that was what you were using based on your post of 4/25/2004,
subject "Anti-Virus Protocol".
I just ran across this in today's issue of WinXPnews
http://www.winxpnews.com/?id=123. It's a program that claims it can replace
the Admin password of a Windows NT, Windows 2000, Windows XP or Windows 2003
system by rebooting the computer with a special set of boot disks. It's
called NTAccess http://www.sunbelt-software.com/product.cfm?id=265. Prices
start at $70 for one license.

I opened my account, and all I see is the Group Membership
properties...nothing else on the left or right.
There is also nothing on the left when I open User Accounts, so I don't
know what the rest of you are looking at. Would be nice to figure this
out though

Dave,
The menu style you use doesn't make a difference. Once you have User
Accounts open you need to open your account (or Computer administrator)
and the option is under "Related Tasks" on the left side.

I have tried to do this my self, and I can't find anywhere on the left
side that says "Prevent a Forgotten Password" on the left side - I
switched my menus to Classic View....is this why I can't see it? When I
open Users and Accounts, I get a user name list and that's it. Anyone
know how to run the Forgotten Password Wizard from a command line?
Thanks

Thanks to everyone for their help. I created a Password Reset Disk and
tested it and now I'm set. This is something everyone who has a user
account with a password should do.
It's under Control Panel, User Accounts, click on your account, on the
left side under Related Tasks, choose Prevent a Forgotten Password. Then
it will Wizard you through creating the disk.
