Well, as it turns out, Win 2000 comes with Inoculan (commercial
version of Inoculate IT). So that problem is solved.

As far as other backwards "incompatibility issues" goes, I will
lose my scanner app, the app for my Epson digital camera, "Fax
Talk Fax", and the 'dialer' for my "Megaphon" phone program. And
that's it. Also I've decided to reformat the hard drive and do a
'clean install' as opposed to the 'upgrade install'.

I might add that the Win 2000 install cd generates a pretty
thorough "Incompatibillity Report" for hardware and software
(printable), with options and instructions for what to do about
the incompatibillities. This is prior to the installation so you
can stop the install process and take your decisions/actions.

Three of the IT techs where I work (and they're NOT Microsoft
fans; believe me) have made the upgrade and have nothing but
praise for Win 2000. Yes, they say, "... you're going to lose
some of your apps; maybe some hardware too, but you wont believe
the difference."

So I'll do it. But first the 'BIOS' update. That's going to be
the biggest challenge for a 'rookie' like me. I don't much
relish the idea of having to move a jumper on my motherboard
(twice), to complete the bios update process. But I guess I
won't be such a 'rookie' when I'm done ;-]
