Hello Myla,

Assuming your personal sounds are wave files and you're making these changes
on the Sound tab of the Sounds and Audio Devices applet in Control Panel,
are you clicking "OK" or "Apply" and "OK" on all windows when closing? If so
and it isn't working perhaps you're not actually saving your new sound
scheme for some unknown reason. You might try only changing the individual
event sounds and leave the sound scheme at the default setting and see if it
applies your new settings.

I just received a new computer and have Windows XP.  I went into the
Control Panel and added my personal sounds that I downloaded from
Microsoft.  When I click on the sound, it plays, but when I close the
application, my mail notification, opening and closing windows, etc.,
still play the default settings.  I've saved the settings and named it
to Myla's Sounds, but it doesn't work?

Any suggestions?
