My any chance, do you have ZoneAlarm installed, or perhaps had you recently
uninstalled it? Did the message reference VSdata95.dll? I had this recently
and it was related to ZoneAlarm's uninstall process. ZoneAlarm has instructions
at its web site for uninstalling, after using their uninstall command. I found
the reference through Google, but look in Service & Support; Installation and
Uninstallation FAQ Main. Sorry, there is no "message number" like with
Microsoft.
(I reinstalled an old version and selected the "custom" uninstall and the
problem seems to have gone away. It was just this morning that I did this, but
the entries in the registry now are all gone, so I'm not crossing my fingers
very hard. I did this because I started having troubles when I updated to the
latest release of ZoneAlarm. I'm hoping to get ZoneAlarm reinstalled, but not
for a little while.)
I suspect there are other causes for your message not related to my problem.
Good luck.

It happened for a day or so, sometimes three or four times in a row before I was able to select option 5, confirm each command. It was okay for a few days and now it is doing it again. Nothing has been changed or added in the meantime. I would appreciate any ideas on what could be causing this. Thanks in advance.
