Yes, it can cause a slow down. With FAT32, your computer, IIRC, now has to
read two FAT tables. It is not that noticable on most faster computers but
it can be quite noticable on slower computers like the 150. I could tell a
difference on my P200 before I upgraded to a AMD 350. With the 350, I notice
no slowdown at all.
