You buy the HDD enclosure from someplace like newegg. It comes with directions. Read them carefully. You may have to set some "dip switches" - a row of tiny little toggles on the HDD. The instructions should tell you how. --AnnaSummers

An alternative is to purchase an inexpensive case that lets you create an external USB drive from your old hard drive.
