        Yes.  I've run scandisk, format, fdisk...

        I let the MB do the detecting, and it got it right.

        The only thing identical is the manufacturer; both are from
Seagate.  One is an ST31277A and the other is an ST51080A.  Might be
something here?  Special formatting, fdisking necessary?
