I sent this request for input on 9/20/04, and for some reason it was never
posted on the list. Just hoping to find some information on video editing
software.
My aged Micron died several weeks ago and rather than reformat and
reinstall, I had a new box build - screamin' 3.2 GHz, 1054 RAM, blah, blah,
blah. But, it also has a nice Samsung DVD burner and in my profession
(leadership training) I use a lot of VCR clips to illustrate leadership
styles, etc. I'd like to burn clips and edit these clips, and have used the
"lite" versions that came with the DVD including: Pinnacle Studio 8, Ulead,
Sonic MyDVD. I like Sonic's ability to create a screen with all the clips
listed as "Chapters," but unfortunately the "lite" version (4 something)
doesn't recognize the burner.
Looking for recommendations and personal experience. PC World and/or PC Mag
seem to like Ulead VideoStudio, but the older version I have didn't do much
for me.
Thanks in advance.
Thanks again,
Ed
