Shaleen,
At least now you can see 'Save attachments' on the file menu, even if it's grayed out. If the message you have
'selected/high-lighted' does NOT contain an attachment, the option to save attachments will obviously be
grayed out. However, if the message DOES have an attachment, and 'Save attachments' is still grayed out, then
I would be guessing if I advise you further. I doubt your security settings come into play here - my OE
security is also set to 'Restricted Zone', and the 'save attachments' feature works fine (WinME - I don't
recall the settings I used with Win95B). Zone Alarm and/or your VS program may be interfering with the option,
but I doubt it. I searched M$ knowledge base for over an hour to no avail. My best *guess* would be an upgrade
from OE5 to OE5.5, but that may or may not enable the 'save attachment' feature, and it *could* cause other
problems. It's possible you need one or more patches ( there are several ), but I still think an upgrade to
OE5.5 is the way to go. There are no "settings" I could find to enable the feature. Below is a link to OE
support - there's a link from there to upgrade to OE5.5 if you decide to try that. The 'Save attachments'
feature DOES work with Win95B - I used it from 1997 to 2001. As I'm perplexed by this, I would be interested
to know if you find the solution - off list is fine. I'll be sure to post a solution if I find one. Best of
luck...

Hello Al,
I tried what you suggested but the 'Save attachments...' option on the File menu remains greyed-out. Has this
anything to do with my Security settings for OE which are set to 'Restricted Zone' or some other settings ?
I use Windows 95 (4.00.950 B), Internet Explorer 5.0 (5.00.2014.0216), Outlook Express 5.0, dial-up Internet
connectivity
Thanks in advance
Shaleen Kumar

Sorry Shaleen, I should have been more precise - don't right click the message, just click it once to select
it. Then, from the 'File' menu on your toolbar (not from a pop-up box) choose 'File ->Save Attachments'. hth
