Hi Martha,
I had the same recurring problem . I was getting the same message you are
getting now.
My OS was ME, and my deleted folder was full and 'corrupted.' I started
'compacting' my deleted folder and it solved the problem!
Wishing you well,
Nenette West

Subject: [PCSOFT] Outlook Express
I have a problem with Outlook Express. The program freezes routinely and
frequently. The only thing I can do to get it going again is to close the
program. It will start again immediately and seems to work fine until the
next freeze.
I usually get one of the following messages but not always.
(1)"Some of the messages in the Deleted Items Folder could not be deleted.
An error has occurred."
(2)"Message could not be displayed. Outlook Express has encountered an
unexpected problem while displaying this message . Check your computer for
low memory or low disk space".
I have a custom made desktop computer, Windows XP, 512 MB ram, AMD cpu, and
29 GB of free disk space. I have looked around the internet for a solution
but found nothing. I did find something I thought would help but spent a
couple of days trying to undo the mess I got into.
I don't really want to reinstall Internet Explorer or even a fresh copy of
Outlook Express as I am sure I would get into even worse trouble. I would
appreciate any help and all possible solutions.
Thanks. Martha
