Marilyn, I had the same thing happen to me. Put your cursor over the
left hand 'edge marker' I call it. It is a raised vertical line next to
the Start button. Click the left mouse button and while holding the
mouse button down, drag it to the right. The quick launch will jump onto
the left next to the Start button. I discovered this by accident.
