My player.exe is in the Windows folder and is part of Quick
Time for Windows.
Look for it in there, and then reassociate.  I think the
easiest way to do that is to shift + right click on the file
you want to open, click on Open with . . . and browse to
player.exe if it's not in the list of programs.  If it works,
then you'll want to come back and tick the "always open with"
box in the "Open with" dialogue box.
