As mostly everyone is aware of the memory free-up problems in using Win98 as
OS,
that problem seriously affects my productivity for instance opening a few
windows of different graphics applications plus my IE or NS also open. My
system tends to crash all the time.
In three-hour sitting in front of my computer while working on different
applications, it happens like two to three times. And so I have to re-boot
the system obviously and go again through a scan disk process.
My system has two hard drives with 8.4 MB each, PentII, 400 MHz and it
really takes time before it gets to the usual desktop.

My questions are:
1) If I have to make my system in dual boot (i.e. NT & 98 or Linux & 98),
will I be able to eliminate frequent crashes? What is the effect of having
NT or Linux as my OS on my current graphics application? I looked at the
boxes and they say either Win95/98 or higher.
Will they all be unuseable if I install NT in my system.?

2) Also I have another computer which has Win95 and locally networked with
my Win98. Would it affect my LAN if I have to use Win NT on machine that
has Win98?

Appreciate any thoughts.

Thanks.

Sixto B.
