Richard,
 If you are running WinXP, turn off "system restore" before uninstalling.
That should solve your problem.
Don't forget to turn restore back on after rebooting.

Hello:

When trying to delete some old Norton Symantec stuff not used anymore. It
self re-creates. I have seen this with other programs also. I have try
regedit to no avail also tried symantec removal tools. I am looking for
workaround method.
