The 'shared' figure for DLLs, as stored in the registry, indicates the
number of applications that have installed and claimed to use this DLL. If
you uninstall an application and the count reaches 0 you should be prompted
to delete because in theory it's not being used any more.
Values of 10000 sound like mistakes have crept in!
