Ian, are you certain these aren't hoax or spurious virus files? I've read
that Nortons, and possibly others, will falsely report suspicious files as
viruses, and can be fooled by these hoaxes on occasions. Eicar is one
example of a false virus file, albeit designed expressly for testing. No
doubt there are others.
Maybe AVG is superior, in that it isn't so easily fooled. Just a thought
which seems to fit the facts.
