Yes, and when Norton screws up an installation you sometimes
have to use special removal tools from them to set things straight.
I am in the middle of figuring out one of several possible conflicts
on WinXP-Pro (on a clone of this drive) and have gotten a message
back from their tech support.
From that, and what I have seen on their site, they seem to think
after cleaning up with the cleaning tool, do a hard drive install.
The following link they sent me will be a little different from your problem,
but lots of the links are still ones you will have to go to to get this fixed.
