Hi everyone. I would like to ask, is there any application available which
could block application names? My problem is with our computer laboratory
in our school, the students usually play hacked games like starcraft and
warcraft from their usb pen drives. But as strict as we wanted it to be
implemented, there is a saying that goes, "When the cat is away, the mouse
will play".

I'm looking for a way wherein the computer will only have a list of
allowable applications which could run, and if the students will try to run
an application outside the list, it will be blocked. Do we have one
available in the market? I have a script here but its using a batch file
(.bat) which has to run every 10 minutes and its job is to delete any
suspicous application for games, etc but the cunning students will just
rename the filename so it won't be deleted.

Our computers are running on WinXP SP2, 256 RAM. Any help would be
appreciated, thanks!!!
