Another alternative, depending on how often this is going to be used is to
purchase two cheap NIC cards with a crossover cable. I am not sure what LapLink
or PC Anywhere cost, but for about $30 (if you shop), you can network your PC's
and have much better bandwidth and fewer headaches than DCC. Even with DCC you
still need a special cable if I recall.
Another limitation with DCC (at least on Win95, maybe that is not the case with
win98, I haven't checked), is that DCC was considered a "dial-up network", so
you could not have both running at the same time. This is not the case with a
network.
