AVG seems to work ok, even if another AV prog is still installed. However,
you can have real problems if you're trying to reinstall later versions of
Norton if you don't follow a carefully prescribed routine to get rid of
previous Norton installs. Maybe that's what you were thinking of.

So, to sum up, you shouldn't have any problems installing AVG. But, to get
rid of most of Norton, go to Control Panel\AddRemove Programs and uninstall
Norton first.

Be cautious, however. There will be a short period when you won't have any
anti-virus protection, so keep your internet activities to a bare minimum.
