Since it's happening on both PCs a hardware or other major fault seems
unlikely, it's almost certainly a setting.
Try checking your Power settings (in Control Panel, go to "Display", then
in the tab "Screen Saver" click on the "Power" button in the 'monitor
power' section. See what's set in the section "Power Schemes". This section
is where you specify after how minutes of inactivity the PC should go a)
turn on the screen saver b) go into standby and c) hibernate. Under "system
hibernates" it should read "never" - if it doesn't, change it.
