         Do you have Nortons' live update #4? (minimum)
         Change your video drivers, then change them back.
         Change your swap file SIZE, then change it back.
         Boot safe mode, then normal.
         Do you do any "odd" things on boot or shut down
         such as "no logo", or "mode" commands at start-up?
         Are you set up to GET the "C" prompt at shut down? (You can.)
         If so,  disable all that  for a while. (Not a good idea to have
that.)
         (Back-up autoexec.bat and config.sys,
         and be sure you know how to restore them, if necessary.)
         This is a video mode "switching problem".

          I'll  start a NEW Thread about re-entering Win95 after
          a shut down to REAL MODE DOS
