Possibly the new systems (laptop) mail client (outlook express) is now set
to remove messages from server when downloading. it mustn't have been set
to do this before if you were getting the same email to two different
computers.

go to Tools menu select "accounts" then the "mail" tab, then select your
mail account and click on "properties". Next you want the "advanced" tab
and at the bottom there is a check box under "delivery" "leave a copy of
messages on server" check this box and then select how long you want them
to stay on the server before they are deleted.
this should fix the problem.
