To record sound, you need to get the sound into the computer.
What type of sound are you trying to record, and how is it getting
into the computer?
If you are ripping and/or burning CDs, that is not recording sound...
That is manipulating computer files in a special type of format.
Note that AUDIO-CDs are not DATA CDs, they have a special "hidden"
file type and need to be burned differently.
