Hi,
   Did you do this is the Control Panel?  I have seen in Win95
times when changing it here would not change it for
preestablished connections.  Check the properties in the Dial-Up
Networking folder for the connection(s).  Choose the configure
button under the connecting modems type and see if it has been
changed here.
