Try either running Norton AV while in safe mode (usually F8 while booting)
or turn off system restore on all drives, then run your AV. Remember to turn
system restore back on after the scan.

I that fails, try Spybot S&D (which can be loaded with Spyware Blaster) and
AdAware SE. Both can easily be found by doing a Google search.
