I have an old Micron 233 with a wiped out HD, which won't complete it's POST. During POST I hear a number of beeps (1 beep, 3 beeps, 3 beeps and 1 beep), but at the end of the 8th beep nothing happens; the screen remains blank, the cursor never appears (the graphic card has been tested, and it works), and I do not get a response from the keyboard or mouse. My goal is to install an OS. Can anyone tell me what exactly is the meaning of these beeps, or where can I get information on them? And, is there anyway around this system stall. Thanks...Nick
