System resources can not be increased, but the total ram will still pay off
if your application will use it. 768 is a ton, but at today's prices I
hardly think you will be wasting money. I write in sql against an enormous
database, and I see improved performance out of more ram on a win98 client.
Not that things run faster, but I don't get crashes related to too much data
coming from the server for the client to process. I use 384 meg. on win98
and 512 meg in win2k clients. The server has 2 gig.

Hey all...

With the low price of RAM now, I am upgrading my system (primarily used for
video capture and edit) to the max amount of RAM supported. In this case,
the mobo is an Abit BE6-II with an Intel P-III 1 GHz CPU (133 MHz FSB). It
supports a max of 768 megs.

Someone told me though, that Win98 will not use this much and also as a
limit of 128K of system resources. Is this correct? It just strikes me as
totally wrong...
