Hi Gregory,

OK.  What may be happening here is that you are focussing on trying to get a
parallel port printer to act as a network printer and bypassing the real
goal...to use your networked computer to get to the locally connected
printer through your other networked computer.  Instead of re-inventing the
wheel, I'm going to direct you to a detailed article on how to make this
happen.  Follow the procedure and get back to the list on whether this
resulted in any success.

1. A. Driver are current on both computers.
   b. Printer is physically connected to Lpt 1 on desktop computer.
   C. Printer is installed on network.

2. Printer is connected to a parallel port on desktop, desktop computer is
    connected to wireless router.

3. Yes, proper IP is entered ping is ok.

4. 5.make and model of printer hpdeskjet 672c  Parallel port connection.

6. Printer works fine on desktop.

7. driver are updated, windows sees printer.

8.  typing shared name, same name on both computers.
