--Hi Dan,
Not sure if this is a further response to my previous problem, msgs of
3/18,3/23 and others, with WIN95B not recognizing memory abv 64MB. Turns
out my PPro200 has integrated 512K L2 cache which can cache mem up to 4.3
gigs. Problem was my Config.sys was loading a DOS 6.2 V of HIMEM.SYS.
Found when Guru on another list advised checking to see if it was corrupt or
something. After replacing with Win Version, the full complement was
recognized in Windows Sys Properties, as well as in BIOS Post message.
Although Bob Wright says WIN NT or 98 is necessary for full benefit abv
64mb, I have noted definite speed-up and stability with large graphics in
Corel PhPnt 8 and Xara.
