Hi Listers...
As I have been slaving over getting the pc from hell to
work right, I have a nuance..The video on the machine seems to replace
the color yellow where white belongs.(sorta reminds me of the
Monochrome monitor I had on my old 386!!) I know the monitor's fine,
cause I checked it with another machine.
So far, I've fiddled with just about every setting I could find, and I
took the video card out (an ATI rage 2,AGP) and replaced it with an s3
virge(PCI), netting the same result. I've double checked all of the
jumpers on the Asus P5-A mobo.
I have, for some reason been plagued with problems with this machine,
it was supposed to be an AMD 350..after various memory swaps, and a lot
of good advice from Dennis Noble, I ended up running it at 300/66. It
worked for a few days, then died..now, it is a comfortable P233mmx..or,
shall I say, it was!! Please, if anyone can tell me what I may be
missing, i'd be grateful..or I'm gonna throw it out the window..
whichever comes first!! Grrrr!
Thanks in advance, folks!!
