A friend of mine who is very knowledgeable about computer hardware, largely
self-taught, took a local college evening course. He found it very
worth-while. He learned from the instructor's knowledge, the classroom
interaction and the hands-on troubleshooting/fixing of computers
(especially after the instructor "broke" computers that the students had
fixed).
