As a guy who uses patch cords by the ton I generally recommend you by them
they are generally cheaper than if even you make them and the they are
quality tested . Most major supply houses will also make custom lenths and
colors. try Graybar, Rexel Datacom, Anixter, and other telecom supply
houses.

If you are also looking for a lower price on the tools you will generally
find them at the above mentined places.
