I don't know of such a report, but I'll  bet resolution is a function of computer experience.  Most occasional users probably don't know how to change the resolution, and are likely to stick with 800 X 600 as a default. People on this list undoubtedly run no less than 1024 X 768, and those with high end monitors may routinely run at 1600 X 1200 or higher.
