I typed "thinkpad bios password" into a yahoo search

haven't tried any of these solutions
I thought you had to send the notebook back to IBM ( or a third party)for a
bios chip
replacement or re-program, but these may be worth a try.
Some bios' have a "backdoor" password, but I don't see any
mentioned for thinkpads
