I think you should read your error message again. You're using a third party
partition software.

BTW - Excellent list. Wish I'd found it earlier.

Cheers

Subject: [PCBUILD] startup disk can't see my hard drive

hi im new to this so please bear with me.
i have an amd k5 pr133 with 48mb; 16x cd drive; 1.44 fdd; conner 121 mb
slave drive; and a seagate 3.1 gb master hd partitioned with "partition
resizer" into 1.9 gb,500mb, and 610mb. the machine works perfectly under
winme for a few months now there really is nothing wrong with it except that
when i tried booting up with a startup disk i made 95% of the time it does
not recognize my 2 harddrives. a message appears saying my hd has no valid
fat partitions either it is not partitioned, has a virus, or i am using a
third party partition software. notice i wrote 95% bec there are rare
instances that it does see my hds. i tried using dos, win98, and win98se
startup disks but thay are all the same. i read the notes in partition
resizer but does not seem to say any thing regarding my problem. if i boot
directly to the c: drive everything works fine.
need help or clarification.
thanks
juan arcenio
