Hello Listers,

In  various ads, I have noticed there are cd-r cd +r as well as dvd-r and dvd+r
What is the difference between a cd -r and cd +r?
I have just recieved an old HP writeable cd and wondered how I know which types of cd to write on it with and how I am supposed to know what the machine will acccept.
