SIMMs are 5 volts. DIMMs can be 5 or 3.3 v. Usually, (since there are always
something I may have missed) EDO DIMMs are 5 v and SDRAM DIMMs are 3.3 v.
Most mobos with both type of slots and jumper switchable voltages can run
EDO SIMMs and EDO DIMMs together but not EDO SIMMs and SDRAM DIMMs.
